This installation is a tribute to my love of 1920s jazz. In that era, the music thrived on experimentation, shaped by place, personality, and spontaneity. Before it became standardized, jazz existed as a regional language. I use collage to reflect its variety. Through the medium of collage, I capture the rich diversity of the music.
